The Springfield Oyster Festival (http://springfieldoysterfestival.com) is coming Saturday October 1th to the Springfield Missouri area. Taking place at Summers at the River resort. The day will feature a live bands, comedian, fire spinners, sand castle building, oyster eating contests with cash prizes and more. A family friendly atmosphere the event will be taking place from 11am to 8pm and will be a ton of fun for the whole family.
Featuring a performance from legendary Bill Dees. The writer of Roy Orbisons smash hot “Pretty Woman”. Also playing live will be local favorites SpinRad and others. These bands and others will be playing classic rock, bluegrass, blues, and more. Visit the website for more details.
Hooters, Cartoons and others will be serving oysters in every way imaginable. A large selection of recipes and oyster sauces will be served directly from your favorite Springfield MO restaurants as the bar will house Pizza, and Hot dogs as well as dozens of types of Beer.
